About Margalit Feldbaum
Margalit Feldbaum, an Israeli painter, has a B.A. degree in English literature and linguistics, studied painting with various artists working in their studios under their guidance. A member of the Painters and Sculptors Association in Holon, Israel, participated in numerous group exhibitions and had three solo exhibitions. Her works are displayed in private collections.
Most of her artwork is oil paintings on canvas. The works deal with scenes from the studio, portraits, landscapes and views outside the studio in Jaffa, the port and the sea. The paintings are characterized by their vibrant, bold colors and they convey warmth. This colorful palette is common to many of her paintings and may imply the influence of her childhood (in Uzbekistan).
The works are the outcome of exploration between the figurative, the expressionist and the abstract, and correspond with other artists. Margalit interprets, processes, translates and generates her own unique artistic language.
